Hello!

Hello! I'm back. I never deleted the creative lenna photos blog because I often enjoyed coming by to see the photos that I uploaded here way back in 2012 -wow! After visiting today in June of 2019, I was inspired to add a few more recent photos of mine. I still take lots of photos. Enjoy!

Below, a few lovely pics from the Cedar Key small boat meet this past May. Steve & I usually attend.

This was the 35th Annual small boat meet. Everyone is welcome!
Always the first weekend in May, in Cedar Key, Florida

Then, take a trip to Gap Creek with us, below!
This is probably my favorite spot to go on the Braden River.
Peaceful and enchanting.

We go in our handmade launch, Chelsea.
It is so quiet now with it's solar powered electric engine!

Later in May, we drove to FT Lauderdale to see an exhibit at the NSU Museum of Art featuring Glackens & Renoir. William Glackens is my great Uncle and I am named after his daughter, Lenna Glackens. We met my dear friend Paula Farrington there and she took this photo of me in front of a painting done by my great uncle, of his daughter Lenna. Lenna with Lenna! Amazing.

We stayed overnight at the Riverside Hotel and had a wonderful dinner along the New River at the Boathouse Restaurant. Steve thought it was so yummy!! We both really enjoyed.

Here's to a few more photos from me before too long!

Sanibel, Florida: Looking back at October 25th, 2011

I rediscovered these photos that were taken one year ago 10/25/2011. Steve and I celebrating one of our anniversaries in Sanibel. A very fateful phone call and wonderful re-connection was made on October 25th, 2004, and resulted in our marriage!

conscious movement

Photos taken without flash, very quietly during Conscious Movement -- September & October 2012. We meet the first Sunday of the month. Conscious movement reminds me of the improvisational section of the modern dance classes I took and is better described here:

"Join in self-exploration through free-form Conscious Movement. This is a safe, non-judgmental space to move more deeply into SELF…through your own, individual relationship with body/mind/spirit."

Yes, we have some young dancers!

done by using layers of photos in Photoshop

BiG Bullfrogs - click for even more detail!
Steven mastering his sailing canoe on the St Lawrence River . . .

Below, that's Steven in the same tiny sailing canoe (on the right!) He want's me to add that it is NOT a model boat! He is truly sailing it and waving to the crew in the racing boat!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the largest and most beautiful of the Thousand Islands, Wolfe Island in Ontario, Canada. We visit a family property where my husband Steven grew up every summer. It is very beautiful there but still, I'd say the highlight for us was boating on the river and visiting with his family. Since its a 3 day trip to get there from Florida (and the same drive back!) we do not anticipate going again next summer . . . probably the following summer. It's just quite a trip for us now, very different from when we lived in Connecticut. I have lots more photos but these are a few of my favorites. Hope you enjoy, lenna
